This post brought to you by my husband (and Wawa)

Dave?  He’s pretty cool.  I finally gave in and asked him to buy me a cup of coffee while he was out today at The Wawa (don’t you love that name??)  Not only did he get the coffee, but he got me Hazelnut flavored coffee and topped it off with some Hazelnut creamer.  I am currently in Hazelnut heaven which has given me the ability to string more than two sentences together.  Unlike this drivel, where the caffeine deprivation had already started to take it’s toll.

And you should know, I HAVE MORE WORDS!  Hat tip to Christine for this most excellent proclamation of the female vocabulary and our need to express ourselves!

Anyhoo, Kristi at Music Mom of 2 does this really cool thing every weekend where she gives you the top 5 things that happened with her family over the weekend.

I love it so much that I’m stealing it. Tee hee!  One weekend without a church home and I’ve already turned to a life of crime!

Here are my top 5 from this weekend:

5.  Picking out Halloween costumes.  We spent more than we normally would, but with the craziness of moving, I just haven’t had time to scour ebay for costumes.

4.  Unpacking all the toys that the kids haven’t seen in “ages”.  “Ages” is defined as 2 months.

3.  Learning all the names of the native arachnids.  For instance, this little beauty is the Argiope aurantia, or yellow garden spider.  They’re big, and this one lives in our back bushes.

We also have wolf spiders in the house, but based on Dave’s description, you will not be seeing any actual pictures.  I will also never be going in our basement.  EVER!

2.  Discovering we have a huge local park about 2 minutes away from our house.  It’s adjacent to the high school and we got to watch a drum line practice while we were there.  So cool.

1.  Settling into our new home.

Until things settle down a bit around here (I feels like I keep saying that), I think I’m going to be participating in a lot of meme type posts.  I just can’t think for myself these days, so prompts from others help!

  1. You are free to steal it. Actually, I wish someone would create a cool button and we could actually make it an official meme on Mondays. Also, thanks for the shout out.

Can’t find the coffee pot? Yikes! (and we thought the WAWA was the funniest thing when I was a kid on vacation….) :)

Hope the java juicer shows up soon!

  4. I see you haven’t found the coffee pot yet, but hubby was nice to get you a cup of coffee. How sweet. Hang in there. You will have things organized in no time. Big hug. :)
