Continuing on with my alphabet theme…today’s Thursday Thirteen is brought to you by the letter B.
- Brat – I think this one needs no explanation. Favorite pet name bestowed by my sisters.
- Bargain – Call it frugal, call it cheap, call it what you will. I have a hard time paying full price for anything. I attribute this to my mother and her insistence that we always check the clearance rack first. Even at the thrift store.
- Bed head – I should so have Jake take a picture sometime. There are days where it is literally standing up on end.
- Bagel – Toasted sesame with cream cheese, please.
- Black – My favorite color for years. Went hand in hand with anarchy and attitude.
- Baking – I actually like to bake. It isn’t as hard to make a mistake and Jake and Emma usually eat it…as opposed to my cooking which is another beast altogether.
- Bitchin’ – Ha. Haha. I said “bitchin’”. Awesome.
- Belter – I always thought of myself as an alto belter (basically, I can sing real loud). I realize that this classification is completely a delusion in my own head.
- Bowling – I started bowling when I was 6…that’s when I joined my first league. I did the league thing for a year or two and then I stopped. I always enjoyed bowling, though, and I finally joined a league with my mom 4 years ago. I’m not very good at it, but it’s a great opportunity to get out of the house!
- Broadway – Quite possibly my favorite place on earth.
- Beach – I like the beach as long as I have a lounge chair, an umbrella, a book, and a drink. Please don’t ask me to actually GET in the water.
- Breakfast – I firmly believe that breakfast is not just for breakfast anymore. I love the restaurants that serve me pancakes and eggs morning, noon, or night. Come to think of it, my favorite is Bob Evans. Another B!
- Books – I don’t get to read nearly as much anymore, but once I get into a good book…forget it. You can’t tear me away. Pretty much all other responsibilities go out the window, including feeding my kids.

I’m with you on bargains. I don’t feel right if I pay full price.
I am the same way about the ocean…beach…lol I am the same way about snow. LOVE to have a hot coffee…and look at it from inside my house. Since we moved to Florida..we just stay in to get away from the stifling HEAT!! I am the same way with books. My husband doesn’t like to buy me books because that reason. Bargains…love them!!
I have not been bowling in some time, but i am thinking you are right it is a great way to spend and evening and meet people.

Two of your B’s always went together for me as a kid – I remember going with my dad to his Sunday morning bowling league. My brother went because he loved to bowl. I went for the free bagels and cream cheese.
