Talk About Tuesday

This week at Talk About Tuesday, Lara wants to talk about purses…

And now will begin one of my most boring posts ever. Only to be rivaled by when I talked about my purse before.

I am just not a purse person. I never have been. I own 1 purse. When that purse is beyond repair (usually some sort of tape), I will buy a new purse…refusing to spend more than $15.

I’m a minimalist. I carry almost nothing in my purse, except the absolute necessities.

After not having to carry a diaper bag anymore, I think I rebelled a little bit and got the smallest bag I could that would still hold all my stuff. I carry my wallet, phone, paper and pens, gum, chapstick, Weight Watchers membership info, key to my bowling locker, tissues, and the blue wallet looking thing is my photo album with the kids’ pictures in it. On the days I go to the gym, I’ll throw in a lock.

And that’s all. I don’t like to carry a lot of stuff. I really think it’s because of the diaper bag…but I’m not sure how much longer I’ll to use that reasoning.

I may just have to break down and admit I only like small purses. Imagine that.

    I’m with you. If I owned a big purse, no doubt it would just get cluttered with junk. I love all the new big purses that are so styley right now, but I can bring myself to buy one, mostly because I know I do not need one.

    I know some people who have a new purse every time I see them! Like you, I stick with the same old thing as long as I can.

    I’m the same way- although I might have two purses. I certainly don’t have one for all my different outifits like some people do. But, my purse is packed full of whatever I might need with an 18 month old.

    It’s so nice to see that I am not the only one who prefers small purses. No “mom bags” for me. My girls each have their own backpack that they can put stuff in when we leave the house.

    I’ve tried small purses and I just can’t do it. Right now I make sure my purse is large enough to carry a few diapers and a wipes case and the epi pen emergency kit for Kayla. I too hate the diaper bag and won’t carry that anymore. But I switched to a wristlet wallet for times when I don’t need my full purse. I love that!

    BTW - Jerome LOVES the coffee. He said it’s the best he’s ever had and now takes 2 full size travel mugs with him to work in the am instead of 1. :)
