Thursday Thirteen – Tennesse Pictures

This past weekend, we all went to Tennessee for a family reunion. Everybody had a wonderful time, and there were flashes going off every 32.6 seconds. While we haven’t all exchanged pictures yet, here are the best ones off my camera…

This is Jacob’s first time on a full sized horse…every other time has only been a pony. He did great.

This might be my favorite shot. This is Jacob walking along between my brother, Erik, and Dave. We don’t get to see Erik that much so every shot with him and the kids is pretty special to me.

Here is one the cabins that they had set up along the Cade’s Cove loop.

Oh my goodness, I was so thankful that we had clear skies so I could get shots like this.

I love this one of little Emma running. She was trying so hard to catch up with Dave and Jake way down by the tree.

This is from inside one of the church’s along the Cade’s Cove loop. I just liked the sun coming in the window…

…and the cemetery outside. I love old cemeteries.

This was the wheel outside a working grain mill inside the loop.

This is Dave. He’s a dork.

Another one of my favorites. We took one real hike while we were there. We heard it was paved so we figured it would be good for the kids (that’s my cousin with her 2 kids, too). This was the sign that greeted us at the head of the trail. Just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, doesn’t it?

“Paved trail” doesn’t necessarily mean “flat trail”. We all missed the part about there being a 300 ft. elevation. This was one of the several stops we took on the way up.

And finally, Laurel Falls. It definitely made the 1 hour, 1.3 mile hike worth it. I do love me some waterfalls.

Finally, this is the picture my cousin took on my camera because I refused to look at Dave and Jake when they were this close to the edge of the cliff. But they didn’t die like the sign talked about so I guess that it all worked out in the end.

  9. The walking from behind one would have been my favorite too. I have so many shots like tat of my boys (including my husband, of course). They seem to speak differently than shots from the front.
