Thursday Thirteen – 80s revisited, pt. 3

And finally, the last installment of my tribute to the 80s. If you missed any, don’t forget to take a look at 1-13 and 2-26!

  1. Me thinks you should be “shot through the head” for sticking that song in my head….oh the eighties those were the days. Banana clips, painful and torture. Tight rolled jeans, Jordache, of course, with my Izod polo.

Love it, my TT will arrive tomorrow, you know on Thursday :) There is a Wordless Wednesday up today and other babble at the Cafe.

  2. This was another set that I remember all of them. I never watched Alf and I was a little to old for Doogie. I grew my hair just so I could wear banana clips.

  3. Wow, I heard shot through the heart the other day on the radio and it is still going through my head.

My ring-tone is The Right Stuff by NKOTB…

I love that you are making these lists!!!!!

  4. Now I have We Are the World stuck in my head. Thanks.
Great list and I remember it all!

  5. Yup- I remember all 13- and that song is stuck in my head now.

  6. Living across the pond at that time, I didn’t share many of those experiences with you. I did see the first Gremlins film but I didn’t know there was a sequel. None of the others apply to me, except I remember We Are The World. There was a time yo simply couldn’t get away from it. But as far as I know I have never heard Shot Through The Heart in my life.

  7. Hey…just the other day I said, “What you talkin’ ’bout Willis?” to my husband. LOL

  8. I remember these things but not in a grew up with it kind of way. Now the Brady Bunch I can quote verbatim.

  9. Yup, I’m still singing it LOL. I caught an Alf rerun recently. It wasn’t nearly as funny 20 years later.

Happy TT. I did an 80’s theme too this week.

  10. Glad to see I’m not the only one with an 80’s themed TT this week :)

Yes, I remember all of these (some a little too well!) Not only were the jeans rolled up, they were ACID WASHED thank-you-very-much!

Fortunately for me, by the time NKOTB hit it big, I was already well into the Def Leopard/Bon Jovi phase ;)

  11. I remember all of these!

  12. Awwwwwww yes, the good ole’ days. I loved Alf!! Happy TT. Great list:)

  13. A few days ago I watched an episode of “Doogie Howser, M.D” online. It had been years since I had seen that show.

Back in the 80s, I won a “Where’s the Beef” sweatshirt for answering trivia on a radio station.

  14. This post brought back many memories. I wish they would rerun Doogie Howser again. It was a great show. I still watch Saved By The Bell sometimes. Have a great TT.

  15. I soooo love Doogie Howser!

And yes! Shot thru the heart is now a last song syndrome.

    Thanks to you! hmp!

    =)

  16. Oh yes, I remember all of those – and I owned more banana clips than I care to think about. Not to mention rolling the jeans – and the layered socks too, that was big when I was in high school. Wow, the memories that these lists have brought back… :)

  17. Love it! Yup, yup, yup…hey, I think I still own banana clips!

  18. Oh so many memories! Very nice :)

  19. Another trip down memory lane. I miss Alf, and Doogie Howser, heheh :) Oh i didn’t know those were called banana clip!

  20. Loved this post! I’m an eighties girl. I’ve admitted it on my blog. Not only do I have the words to “We Are the World” stuck in my head now……I actually still have the sheet music in my piano bench!

    Ahhh, the eighties.

  21. Oh the good old days!
    I’m still singing!
