LW 08 – Week 23

I’m not sure if there will be a Mr. Linky up today at Tales from the Scales…I’m sure that’s the farthest thing from Beth’s mind right now…but I wanted to put this up anyway for my own accountability.

You know it’s bad when it was this morning before I realized that I didn’t even weigh in last week. I took my measurements but never stepped on the scale. Sigh. I’m busy and tired, but such is life. My insane eating (which has been broadened to include mass amounts of pretzels and peanut butter) has finally caught up with me. I had my monthly Weight Watcher meeting and I was up over 2.5 lbs…back into the 160s. I promised myself I would never get up there again so needless to say I was upset, but not surprised.

So I recommitted myself on Saturday to journaling everything that goes into my mouth and stopping the mindless eating. I have been doing really well with my fitness challenge (see ticker on the sidebar), but I realized I was eating way more than I should have (surprise) to compensate for the extra exercise. I have written everything down since last Saturday (the first time in weeks) including the Girl Scout cookies that I had, which came on Monday. Nothing like timing, right?? But I only had one serving size and put the points down. I was quite proud of myself. Then I stuck them in a cabinet that I don’t open everyday to diminish some of the temptation. I’m trying!!

Here are my numbers:

  1. We’re all in this together. I broke 170 this morning and I decided that when I break 160 I will buy myself two new spring shirts. I want to get down to my lifetime weight before I return to weight watchers.

  2. Peanut butter has destroyed me too. I need to STOP.IT.NOW!

  3. So, now did the challenge end today? I want to join in, but for some reason I was thinking that today was the last day of this challenge. I keep checking for news of another one starting.

  4. Girl Scouts are evil and must be destroyed!

OK, not really, but their cookies put far too much temptation in front of us. :-)

    Is Beth OK?
