Talk About Tuesday

Over Christmas break, Jake seemed to take 10 steps backward as far as his attitude was concerned…or at least his attitude toward me. It’s no secret that I’ve had more than a few fights with him over the way he talks to me and listens (or actually, doesn’t listen) to me. We had been doing well for a while, but everything came crashing down again over the holiday.

Dave and I decided we needed to try something new, so we came up with a reward system as opposed to a punishment system. Every week or two, we are going to give him a new goal to work towards and he’ll get rewarded when he has reached his goal. Right now, instead of being rewarded for doing good things, he gets a lot of revoked privileges for doing bad things.

I finally got all the materials together today (total cost = $3.50) and assembled it this afternoon. We’ll start using it tomorrow. Seriously, I CAN’T WAIT!!
